Coming Soon: Padelholm, Where Serious Players Belong
Welcome to the Padelholm newsletter.
If you’re reading this, you’re among the first, and that’s something special. This is an exciting moment in the world of padel.
For the past eight months, padel has completely taken over our lives. It feels like we’ve just discovered one of the racket world's best-kept secrets. Whether you’re relatively new to the sport, like us, or have been fortunate enough to play for years, you understand the passion and commitment that padel ignites.
This week we launched padelholm.com, where you can request an invitation to join the first-ever online clubhouse for serious padel players.
Here’s why we are building Padelholm.

The Padel Paradox
Padel is a curious phenomenon, especially in the U.S. On one hand, it feels like a brand-new sport, yet it’s been around for over 50 years and already has a massive following in Latin America and Europe. In Spain, for instance, four times as many padel rackets are sold as tennis rackets. (Move over, Rafa and Carlito.)
Despite its global popularity, finding reliable information and equipment in the U.S. can be a challenge. Most online stores catering to padel list prices in euros, and it’s tough to get gear from dedicated padel brands like Bullpadel or Nox unless they also have a foothold in tennis, like Head, Babolat, or Adidas.
While padel’s e-commerce might be euro-centric, its presence on social media is booming—enter "PadelTok." The game translates beautifully to video at the professional level, with its unpredictable rallies keeping viewers hooked. There’s also no shortage of coaching content, offering tips to elevate your game.
And even though many of the videos are in Spanish, padel speaks its own universal language. Plus, who doesn’t enjoy the occasional padel meme.

Navigating the Local Padel Challenge
A final observation on the current state of padel in the U.S.—the growing community is still highly local and reliant on the alignment of personal schedules. To get regular games in, you need a group that lives nearby, has similar availability, and can play when courts are free.
This often means early mornings, late nights, or those golden Saturday afternoons.
Let’s not forget the premium on padel court prices, which makes consistent play a true test of dedication. To all the die-hard players out there—we see you.
While local limitations will improve as more padel facilities pop up and competition drives prices down, the scheduling challenges will persist. After all, when your fourth inevitably bails and you’ve got that unshakable itch to get on the court, the struggle is real.
